Assignment 2 Breadboard with Variable Resistor

I tried using variable resistor to light LEDs. One is fixed and the other is variable. The first one is connected to the direct power 9V and lights immediately and the other one uses a variable resistor that lights up from 0V to 9V once I turn the knob right. The second LEDs lights up slowly as I keep rotating it all the way till the end.

The yellow LED, first one is connected to the directly to the power 9V and lights immediately. The yellow LED gets the positive energy through a resistor.

The other one uses a variable resistor that lights up from 0V to 9V once I turn the knob right. The second LEDs lights up slowly as I keep rotating it all the way till the end. Then red LED is max bright.

The variable resistor or the potentitor have 3 pins. The left pin gets the power from the positive terminal and the right from pin is connected to the negative terminal. The middle pin is connected to the green wire and it divides the voltage .

The middle pin is connected to the green wire and it divides the voltage and then using a resistor, the postive energy travels from the resistor to the red LED. Since the red LED is getting the power from the green wire, middle pin we can reduce and increase the brightness of the red LED through the blue knob.
